Have you ever used St. Johns Wort or Hawthorn for depression or anxiety? Did they work for you?

I have and they do a pretty good job. Just follow the instructions on the bottle.

Have you ever used St. Johns Wort or Hawthorn for depression or anxiety? Did they work for you?
Yes, have used St. Johns Wort and it worked fine, but one thing that needs to be remembered when taking it,

stay out of the sun.

Don't ask me why, but that's what I read anyway.
Reply:It works if you don't really have depression or anxiety. If you have a real problem, it's best to see a psychologist or doctor. Herbs are good for people who have mild depression or mild anxiety aka people who are need of placebos and not real treatment.
Reply:I have never used either but a friend of mine uses St. Johns wort %26amp; has for many years. She swears by it.
Reply:I have used St Johns Wort, but that is only effective in very mild depression. If you feel very depressed then see your doctor and get proper medication, but don't mix it with St. John's Wort.
Reply:My wife and i have tried the st johns wort on my know 19 year old son. Who all his young life was on medicine from Dr,s for depression, and anxiety, Nothing worked Then 9 months ago we came across a friend who told us about a product called stress ese it is a natural product . we bought some and my Son for the last 9 months has held down the same job, his Friend's have increased and he is more pleasant to be around, The stress ese is all he takes now and he is living a healthy life. In fact we all take it we sleep allot better at night.

I will leave the source for you . It may help.
Reply:I took St. Johns Wort and I just felt high. As a matter of fact, I felt more anxiety. I've tried every natural supplement and they just don't work for me. Maybe they'll work for you. They're not that expensive so giving it a try won't hurt you. Just don't take it with any ssris
Reply:I have found both of the natural herbs are used for super mild depression and anxiety. you also have to have a sensitive body in order to feel the effects. Those herbs are only for very mild cases, In short they are not able to combat against normal to heavy cases of depression and anxiety. ask your doctor or look it up on the net, you will see the same info as I gave you.
