Ask the university/college for details on housing, dormitory facilities etc.

Just enter in your requirements and it will give you a listing.
Be warned though, you won't find "cheap" accommodation in Hawthorn... unless it's really rundown.
Maybe check other locations near your campus. You may find cheaper accommodation in Box Hill; and the public transport is excellent from there.

Reply:Hawthorn not that cheap so try some were else like you could try some wear in bayside it is write on the beach and 15 minutes from the city there are many hotels located there and restaurant's and pubs
