the interstaters are dropping quicker than the horses in NSW, nth melb v hawthorn tonight, collingwood v geelong next week, hopefully north or hawthorn will do all vics proud next week
Is the current finals the best in the last 20years?
G'day Parrrrris, as a interstater, this is becoming a nightmare finals series for me. Best finals ever was back in 97 %26amp; 98.
P.S I have a soft spot for North Melbourne, I hope they kick *** next week and beat Geelong in the GF.
Reply:by exciting matches yeh but they still gotta get port out
cmon hawks cats granny geelong by 20
Reply:It is it will be good to have Victorians back in the granny BUT if you read todays paper there is a joke stating that it is actually a Queensland team and a Tasmanian team, thats where thay are based now having said that Go Hawthorn tonight.
Reply:yeah its been a cracker finals series Paris, with close nail biting games and interstaters dropping like flies its definately one of the better final series as far as I'm concerned,i hope its a north v geelong final-which I'll struggle to see through the beer goggles but enjoy anyway.
p.s cheers big kev,i cant wait.
Reply:Nah hasnt been the best. When the eagles were better it was good. But all eagles supporters i spoke to were all like i hope they win, but they wont. Collingwood will b thrashed by Geelong and I hope the roos beat the hawks and then Port win and then Port v Geelong in the GF...and another interstate team wins!!!
Not that it matters wear the team is from, I just like to annoy people.
Reply:You raise two points:
A good series. Amazing - fantastic - pick a word. 4 of the five games so far were close most of the way - and the 'right team' won the blow out :-).
The future games Colliwobbles vs Geellywobbles (I'm a nervous Cat). 95000 at the 'G' on Friday I'd reckon. Cats by 50 after three close quarters.
Hawthorn (my guess) vs Port at AAMI. 50,000 booing, hissing, spitting fans going home disappointed is my tip after Port Lose by 3 points on the siren - they're due for a reversal of that!
Cats by 12 over Hawthorn in the GF after leading by 60 at half time. (Reversing 1989 with Franklin kicking 12 goals including 9 in the second half) .
Second point: Wasn't it the beginning of this year where the papers were all screaming that Victorian clubs needed help to compete with the one town-two team clubs? And weren't the Interstate papers saying the opposite and demanding more clubs in the talented states?
This is a big win for football socialism (salary caps) and the draft system, as much as they irritate me sometimes.
EDIT: Paarrrrrriis - Not North Melbourne .... they'll always be Norda Melbourne to me
Reply:Shithouse!
97 98 ring a bell?
Reply:i did not get your email
Reply:It's good to see a competition that appears to be fairer- not stacked out of Melb teams.
